Subject: Excellent portrayal of tragedy
IMO the story line, acting and photography in this tragic film are excellent. Sorry your wife left you. It may have been due some events in her home as a child. Be strong.

Subject: excellent for silent
This is a sad tale of love and betrayal where a mans wife is in love with his best friend and betrays him and their child then like most greedy women takes the child after abandoning it to her husband. My former wife walked off on me and my two children years ago, but never returned. I know she cries crocodile tears to this day, but she receives zero sympathy from me and never will after the many lies she told as well as the two now grown kids she hurt to the very core of their lives.

Subject: Musical score for The Manxman
This is a beautifully tragic drama of a love triangle. Hitchcock's technique in the silent era is full of suspense. There are some fantastic shots during the film. There is a sound version of the film on the NeoKitsch site: www.neokitsch.com
The new score brings this film to life in a modern, quirky interpretation. The direct link to the film is: http://tinyurl.com/38stcn2
